When the crew of the forthcoming Kannada movie Green unveiled a first-look poster a few weeks back, showcasing what appeared to be a gigantic egg in a woodland setting, the general belief was that it might be a type of monster film. However, they later chose to clarify the situation and explained that it does not revolve around a tangible monster, but one rooted deeply in an individual's psyche.

Directed by Raaj Vijay, Green, as per the official synopsis, is a psychological thriller that immerses viewers in the depths of the human mind, and centers around a person battling an inner monstrous force. The narrative explores how this individual embarks on a quest to free himself from the demon that has been dominating his life. As this creature gradually assumes control, it alters the protagonist’s viewpoint and strips him of his decision-making abilities. Trapped in a maze of fear and uncertainty, he seeks to uncover his true identity.

According to the creators, the aim of Green is to emphasize the significance of seeking assistance before the inner demon completely consumes one’s entire life. As the filmmaker delves deeply into the shadowy aspects of the human psyche, the film also examines the bravery required to conquer it and discover hope at the end of the tunnel.

The film is now prepared for a cinema release, following an extensive festival circuit, where it received multiple awards. The main cast features Gopalkrishna Deshpande (Toby), Balaji Manohar, RJ Vikki, Viswanath Mandalika, Shiv Manju, Dimpy Fadhya, N Ramachandra, Murudaiah CR, and others, many of whom are well-known figures in Kannada theatre. K Madhusudan has acted as DOP, Arul Erlango Siddharth as the editor, and Sak as the composer, for the film produced by BN Swamy.
