Akshay Kumar, who had few theatrical releases this year, is soon going to surprise fans with a glimpse of his upcoming movie. The actor has reunited with filmmaker Priyadarshan after 14 years. After working on Bhool Bhulaiyaa and Hera Pheri, the director-actor duo have joined hands for a horror-comedy film. The latest update on their untitled film is that a motion poster will be unveiled in the next few days.

According to a Mid-Day report, the motion poster of Akshay's next film with Priyadarshan will be unveiled on his birthday (September 9, 2024). The motion poster will also reveal their film's title and Akshay's look in it. "The director flew down to Mumbai in July to cut the one-minute motion poster," a source told the tabloid.

The motion poster reveal will be followed by the beginning of the film's first schedule in Mumbai. It will begin on December 8 on a set designed by Sabu Cyril. "After that, a straight schedule has been chalked out from January to April 2025. They will shoot in Hyderabad, forests of Kerala, Sri Lanka, followed by the final leg in Gujarat," the source added.

It has been also reported that Akshay will be seen 'wooing three women again' like his character in Garam Masala. However, his character's life will take a serious turn when he encounters black magic. The story has been apparently conceptualized by Ektaa Kapoor. The same tabloid earlier reported that Kiara Advani, Alia Bhatt, and Keerthy Suresh are the top contenders for the lead heroine's part.

Akshay Kumar's films in 2024

Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar has had three major film releases this year. The actor's first theatrical release for 2024 was Bade Miyan Chote Miyan with Tiger Shroff. It was followed by his film Sarfira's release. The movie was released in theatres on July 12, 2024. And recently on August 15, Akshay had his film Khel Khel Mein hitting the big screen. He also made a cameo appearance in Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao's Stree 2.
