Ajith Kumar is totally busy in his acting and racing careers with some exciting projects in the pipeline. The popular actor recently wrapped up Vidaamuyarchi, the upcoming Magizh Thirumeni directorial. Ajith, who is now busy with the filming of Good Bad Ugly in Bulgaria, is expected to finish his portions in the film, this weekend. However, the recent updates suggest that Vidaamuyarchi has been delayed indefinitely, while Good Bad Ugly is expected to be released in January 2025, as planned.

Good Bad Ugly to release before Vidaamuyarchi

According to the latest updates, Vidaamuyarchi release plans are currently put on hold, due to financial reasons. Lyca Productions, the production banner that bankrolls Ajith Kumar’s film, is going through a tough time after their last two releases, Indian 2 and Vettaiyan, failed to make it big at the box office. Even though the Magizh Thirumeni directorial was expected to be released in October 2024, the project is now delayed indefinitely. The grapevine suggests that Vidaamuyarchi will now hit the theatres only by the second quarter of 2025.

Meanwhile, the makers of Good Bad Ugly, Mythri Movie Makers, are planning to go ahead with the Pongal 2025 release plans for the film. The filming of the Adhik Ravichandran-directed film is reportedly nearing its final leg, and leading man Ajith Kumar is expected to wrap up his portions on Sunday, November 24, 2024. The entire shooting of the film will be wrapped up by November last week, and the team has already kicked off the post-production works of the finished portions.

Ajith Kumar is expected to appear in multiple avatars in Good Bad Ugly, which marks his first onscreen collaboration with director Adhik Ravichandran. The movie, which is touted to be a quirky gangster drama, reportedly features Trisha Krishnan as the female lead. The project features Prabhu, Prasanna, Arjun Das, Yogi Babu, Sunil, Rahul Dev, and others in the supporting roles. Anirudh Ravichander composes the songs and the original score. Abhinandan Ramanujam is the director of photography.
