On April 6, Golden Star Ganesh will initiate a new project. Following his success last year with Krishnam Pranaya Sakhi, Ganesh is currently engaged in the film Yours Sincerely Ram, directed by Vikhyath, alongside Ramesh Aravind. Additionally, he has another film titled Pinaka in development and will soon begin production on an untitled family entertainer, which will be directed by Arasu Anthare, a lyricist-turned-director. This upcoming film marks Arasu's second directorial effort, arriving a decade after his debut film, Love in Mandya, which featured Sathish Ninasam and Sindhu Loknath in leading roles.

Amritha Aiyer to debut in Kannada cinema opposite Ganesh

For his collaboration with Ganesh, Arasu has enlisted Amritha Aiyer, a native of Bengaluru who has primarily been active in Tamil and Telugu films, including the successful 2024 release HanuMan. This project marks Amritha's debut in Kannada cinema. Following the auspicious ceremony on April 6, filming will commence the next day, with locations set in Bengaluru, Mysuru, and various regions of North Karnataka.

The director has expressed his intention to merge Ganesh's distinctive style with his own artistic sensibilities, aiming to create an engaging family drama infused with an appropriate amount of humor. He also mentioned that he envisioned Ganesh while crafting the narrative.

Recognizing that music plays a pivotal role in Ganesh films, Arasu assures that his upcoming project will feature captivating melodies that will resonate with audiences. The standout aspect of Krishnam Pranaya Sakhi was its music, particularly the viral sensation, Dwapara. Notably, in Arasu's directorial debut, Love in Mandya, he collaborated with Anoop Seelin, resulting in several popular tracks. He also enlisted Bappi Lahiri to perform a song titled Current Hoda Timealli. While the filmmaker has not yet disclosed the composer for his film with Ganesh, he has confirmed that Sugnaan (known for Dana Kayonu and I Love You) will be the cinematographer, and Akshay P Rao will take on the role of editor.
