Jerome Flynn from Game of Thrones is set to star in a film featuring Mohanlal and Prithviraj

Prithviraj Sukumaran recently shared on Instagram that the character No 7 from L2 Empuraan is none other than Jerome Flynn, known for his role in Game of Thrones. He’ll be portraying Boris Oliver in the next chapter of the Lucifer series.

In a video introducing his character, Jerome Flynn expressed his excitement about joining the Malayalam film and talked about his ties to India.

Jerome isn't exactly sure how he landed the role, but he's super happy he did because it's such a different vibe from what he's experienced in the UK or US. For those who don't know, he was also in Keanu Reeves's John Wick 3 and Black Mirror.

The Game of Thrones star mentioned that diving into Mollywood culture was really special for him. "It meant a lot to me since India has always been a significant part of my journey," he shared, recalling his visits to India for spiritual retreats in his 20s and 30s.

He described his role in Lucifer as feeling like "coming home," reflecting on his experience as Bronn in the hugely popular Game of Thrones series.

Jerome Flynn mentioned that he can't share too many details about his part in Empuraan, but he did say that his character Boris is key to Khureshi-Ab'raam's journey. If you haven't seen Lucifer yet, Mohanlal plays Khureshi-Ab'raam, also known as Stephen Nedumpally.

A lot of folks were excited to spot 'Bronn' from GoT, with some dubbing it 'international casting'. One comment noted, 'This has to be the largest cast in Indian cinema history.' Another person chimed in, 'This is massive. What a surprise! Best character reveal yet!'

Prithviraj Sukumaran's Empuraan, featuring Mohanlal alongside Tovino Thomas and Manju Warrier, is set to hit theaters on March 27, 2025.
