At the Mumbai trailer launch of Crazxy on Monday, Girish Kohli, the film's writer and director, expressed his insights regarding his debut project and the distinctive nature of Crazxy. He conveyed his enthusiasm for thrillers and mentioned that the scarcity of quality thrillers in the industry motivated him to take the initiative.

"I have always desired to see a compelling thriller, but the reality is that very few are produced," Girish remarked. "Thus, I decided to create one myself."

He characterized Crazxy as an eccentric film with a one-of-a-kind aesthetic, stating, "The film's style and essence are quite unconventional. After viewing it, you will comprehend my perspective – it may be difficult to fully appreciate at this moment."

Girish also reflected on his partnership with Sohum Shah, whom he considers the ideal individual to realize this vision. "Sohum Shah is the perfect person to advance this project," Girish noted, adding, "A glance at Sohum’s filmography will confirm this. When you possess a strong script that deserves to be made, yet find no one in India capable of doing it justice, you should turn to Sohum Shah."

When inquired about the obstacles he faced while creating his first film, Girish maintained a positive outlook. "There were indeed challenges, but none that I could not manage. This is my inaugural film, and it holds a special place in my heart. Your first love, your first film, your first producer – these experiences are always significant," he elaborated. "There were no major difficulties. Filmmaking can, at times, resemble a carnival. Each project presents its own unique challenges, but they are not insurmountable. The challenges exist primarily in one's mind."

Crazxy, written and directed by Girish Kohli and featuring Sohum Shah in the lead role, is scheduled for release in cinemas on 28 February 2025.
