Actor Anushka Shetty is set to take the lead in a new action flick called Ghaati, directed by Krish Jagarlamudi. The production team revealed on Sunday that the film will hit theaters on April 18, 2025.

Not long ago, the team behind Anushka Shetty’s new movie Ghaati dropped an intense and action-packed teaser showcasing a totally new side of the actress. The film is scheduled to hit theaters on April 18, 2025.

Anushka Shetty takes on the role of a bold woman in Ghaati, packed with thrilling action scenes. The film is directed by Krish Jagarlamudi and is brought to life by UV Creations, with Rajeev Reddy and Sai Babu Jagarlamudi producing it. This is the second time Anushka and Krish have teamed up, following their hit Vedam, and it marks Anushka's fourth project with UV Creations.

In a lighthearted video with Krish, Anushka, and the producers, they revealed the release date while showing Krish in action on set. Ghaati looks to be a gritty, action-packed film featuring some intense sequences.

What’s the deal with Ghaati?

The creators of Ghaati haven't shared too many details about the plot yet, but the tagline “Victim, Criminal, Legend” gives us a hint. The film is likely to dive into themes like humanity, survival, and redemption.

On the technical side, Ghaati features Manojh Reddy Katasani as the cinematographer, with music by Nagavelli Vidya Sagar. Thota Tharrani takes charge of the art direction. The editing team includes Chanakya Reddy Toorupu and Venkat N Swamy, while Sai Madhav Burra is responsible for the dialogues. Ghaati will be available in several languages, such as Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi.

In other news, Anushka Shetty was last seen in the 2023 movie Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty, and she’s also working on a Malayalam film titled Kathanar – The Wild Sorcerer.
