The trailer for Oru Jaathi Jathakam, featuring Vineeth Sreenivasan, has been officially released. Initially scheduled for an August 2024 premiere, the film's release date has now been moved to January 31, 2025. In anticipation of this release, the filmmakers have presented a trailer that showcases the amusing and tumultuous events within the narrative of Oru Jaathi Jathakam, directed by M Mohanan.

In the trailer, Vineeth Sreenivasan portrays the character Jayesh, who is on a quest for potential marriage partners. 

The trailer opens with Sayanora’s character suggesting to Jayesh that he should consider women aged 30 to 35 for marriage. Jayesh responds by asserting that women over 30 are no longer young, clearly indicating that he embodies the mindset of typical men who hold high expectations for their partners.

A sequence follows in which the protagonist is admonished for failing to examine himself more closely, characterized by his drowsy eyes, slumped shoulders, and distinctive gait.

A horoscope reading (Jathakam) delivers a verdict that is deemed unfavourable by his family, who claim he lacks masculinity.

In summary, the trailer suggests an entertaining experience with the film, which is described as a romantic comedy, as it chronicles the protagonist's struggles and intense desire to finally achieve marital stability.

PP Kunhikrishnan, portraying the father of Vineeth Sreenivasan’s character, makes a notable impression with his lines in the 1.58-minute trailer. Kunhikrishnan is widely recognized for his role as the magistrate in Nna Thaan Case Kodu, featuring Kunchacko Boban.

The trailer for Oru Jaathi Jathakam provides glimpses of the supporting cast, which includes Nikhila Vimal, Babu Antony, Kayadu Lohar, Mridul Nair, and Sayanora Philip. Additionally, singer Vidhu Prathap makes an appearance in the trailer.

Oru Jaathi Jathakam release date

Oru Jaathi Jathakam is scheduled to premiere on January 31, 2025. Initially, the film was intended for release during the Onam festival in 2024. A teaser for the film was unveiled in March 2024; however, the release was subsequently delayed. The revised release date has been announced recently. This film represents the collaboration between Vineeth Sreenivasan and director M Mohanan, who previously worked together on the 2018 film Aravindante Athidhikal, which featured Vineeth and Nikhila Vimal in leading roles. Nikhila Vimal is also part of the cast for Oru Jaathi Jathakam.
