Squid Game season 3 is coming out sooner than we thought! Netflix just dropped a new poster and confirmed that the highly awaited season will start streaming in June.

Netflix India just dropped a fresh poster featuring a masked guard in a pink outfit pulling a lifeless player in the iconic green jumpsuit into a coffin with a bow on it—something we saw in season 2. They captioned it, “Press (circle emoji) for the final round. Catch Squid Game Season 3 on June 27. #NextOnNetflix.” The floor has some cool floral murals arranged in a circle.

Fans were super excited yet a bit doubtful about the announcement, especially since they had to wait three long years since 2021 for the second season. One person asked, “You mean this June, right?” while another chimed in with, “Hype mode activated.” A fan also noted, “You guys leaked it way before,” mentioning how Netflix accidentally spilled the beans on the release date before pulling the teaser. The poster says, “prepare for the final game,” hinting that this will be the last season of the show.

Squid Game Overview

Squid Game centers around Seong Gi-hun, played by Lee Jung-jae, who accidentally gets caught up in the deadly games during season 1 while trying to clear his debts. In the second season, which came out last year, he decides to join the games on purpose to dismantle the corrupt system, but the Frontman, portrayed by Lee Byung-hun, makes it a tough challenge. The season wraps up with a cliffhanger, paving the way for a third season. Meanwhile, Wi Ha-joon plays Hwang Jun-ho, a cop with his own agenda to take down the game.
