The director conveyed his appreciation to Rajinikanth and revealed the film on X with a message that stated, "I am extremely pleased to announce my upcoming film #Jailer2 featuring the incomparable #Superstar #Thalaivar @rajinikanth sir, alongside my esteemed @sunpictures #Kalanithimaran sir, and my cherished friend @anirudhofficial.
