Sung Jin-woo is on a mission to become a hunter to help his terminally ill mom, and he's getting closer to his goal. He’s now officially the 10th S-rank hunter and is on the verge of obtaining the Elixir of Life. To achieve this, Jinwoo has returned to the Demon Castle. He noticed that his Shadow Army, which now includes Tusk (formerly known as Karlgagan), along with Igris, Tank, and Iron, is having a tough time against the top-tier opponents. So, Jinwoo has decided to jump into the fray himself. He’s up against Esil, and that’s where Solo Leveling season 2 episode 8 kicks off. Of course, he’ll also face off against the Demon God Baran in this episode. Plus, season 2 episode 7 hinted at the upcoming Jeju Island Arc with a giant cockroach, but that’s not happening just yet. Right now, everyone’s focused on the showdown between Jinwoo and Esil, followed by his battle with Baran. Once he defeats Baran, Jinwoo will finally get the Elixir of Life to heal his mom. He thinks this might be his last fight as a hunter, but he could be mistaken.
