On Young Sheldon, the story of Georgie and Mandy had only just started. Here in Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage, the newlyweds face all the difficulties that wedding life brings. They also live with Mandy's parents and have a baby. CBS has unveiled the image and video for the new series, which hint at something both familiar and fresh. Georgie and Mandy move in with Audrey and Will in the trailer, which takes place shortly after Young Sheldon's events. Isn't that awesome?

Welcoming the newlyweds into the McAllister house

When the trailer opened, only the young Coopers had already made themselves at home in the McAllister house. With a heartfelt "I am so glad you and Cece are here," Audrey (Rachel Bay Jones) warmly greets her daughter and granddaughter. That Mandy is married slips her mind, which is quite convenient. "And...?" "Keep going," Mandy says. Adding a reluctant "Georgie," Audrey finishes. The show pays homage to The Big Bang Theory by using the same multi-camera setup. Instead of a laugh track, we employ an in-studio audience. This is the most notable distinction between Young Sheldon and Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage.

Spoilers alert: the trailer only features returning characters from 'Young Sheldon'. You might recognise Audrey from her incessant shenanigans. Audrey doesn't respect Georgie. She attributes his lack of drive, laziness, and literacy to a host of other negative traits. She thinks he's unworthy of Mandy. There are more than just Audrey's razor-sharp eyes that make this living situation difficult. How can a young couple meet their needs in a house full of in-laws? Can you imagine a baby monitor that streams live video of everything?

Tensions rise with Georgie working at the family store

However, it always returns to Audrey's contempt for Georgie. When Jim hires Georgie to work at the family tyre store, things start to get tricky. They are not only roommates but also coworkers. In her frustration with Audrey's constant sarcasm, Georgie finally confronts her. "If I may, you have a habit of slipping in little comments that can be really hurtful," Audrey says to Georgie. There are instances when speaking up is more harmful than helpful. The worst thing she's said about Georgie isn't what he hears her say, he learns.

The Turtles' Happy Together appears to be the soundtrack for the trailer, but the atmosphere is anything but joyful. It is possible that the couple will discover happiness elsewhere. The poster for the series depicts them in a tender embrace, seemingly captured in the laundry room. It provides the seclusion they require to enjoy their time together, free from intrusive in-laws and wailing infants. The trailer does not feature other members of the McAllister family, including Connor, Mandy's brother, and Ruben, Jim's employee, who will also feature in the plot. Other members of the Cooper family will appear in the series, too.
