Shankar's debut Telugu film, Game Changer, featuring Ram Charan and Kiara Advani in the principal roles, is set to premiere in theatres on January 10. Following the tragic incident at the Sandhya Theatre during the Pushpa 2 screening, the Telangana government has adopted a more stringent approach and has refused to grant permission for the 1 am screening. However, increases in ticket prices and additional showings have been authorized.
Game Changer benefit shows
The government of Andhra Pradesh has granted approval for benefit screenings of Game Changer, with the first show scheduled to commence at 1 am. A representative from Ram's team shared the Telangana government's order on X (formerly known as Twitter). In exchange for allowing advertisements that promote awareness about cybercrime, narcotics, and drugs, the government has eased certain regulations. However, the request for 1 am screenings was not approved.
On the opening day, permission was granted for six shows, with an additional five shows authorized for the subsequent nine days, concluding on January 19. Among the approved shows for the opening day is a 4 am screening, alongside an increase in ticket prices by ₹150, inclusive of GST, for multiplexes, and ₹100 for single-screen theatres. For the following nine days, ticket prices will rise by ₹100 in multiplexes and ₹50 in single-screen venues. Following the issuance of the government order, ticket bookings commenced in the state.

The narrative of the film was crafted by Karthik Subbaraj, and it is set to be released in multiple languages, including Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi.
