Gaganachari, the dystopian sci-fi drama which features Anarkali Marikar, Ganesh Kumar, Gokul Suresh, and Aju Varghese in the lead roles, is one of the most-loved Malayalam films of 2024. The dystopian sci-fi drama film, directed by Arun Chandu, received immense love from the cinephiles. The unique storyline, excellent making, performances, and humour won the hearts of the theatrical audiences. After a long wait, Gaganachari has finally had its OTT release on Amazon Prime Video.

Gaganachari out on OTT

The highly acclaimed film had its theatrical release in Kerala in June 2024, and later a pan-Indian release, in July 2024.  After a very long delay, the movie has finally had its much-awaited OTT release, on the popular streaming platform, Amazon Prime Video. The Arun Chandu directorial is currently available for streaming in the OTT platform, only in its original language, Malayalam. However, the OTT viewers can stream the film with English subtitles. There are no updates on dystopian sci-fi film’s other language versions, yet.

Gaganachari: Here is everything you need to know

For the uninitiated, Gaganachari is a sci-fi film set in a dystopian future. Three bachelors live in an apocalypse bunker, and their routine is disrupted when an extraterrestrial female fugitive from a distant planet arrives. Her arrival turning their lives upside down. The Arun Chandu depicts and explores the themes of bias, love, superstition, and the unknown, with a touch of humour.

Gaganachari features a massive star cast including Anarkali Marikar, KB Ganesh Kumar, Gokul Sures, Aju Varghese, John Kaippallil, Anand BS, Anantha Raman, and others in the pivotal roles. Suresh Gopi made a cameo appearance in the film, as Maniyan Chittappan. The movie is scripted by Siva Sai and Arun Chandu, himself. Surjith S. Pai is the director of photography. Sankar Sharma composed the songs and the original score. Aravind Manmadhan handled the editing. The highly acclaimed film is jointly produced by Ajith Vinayaka Films and Krishand Films.
