Wamiqa Gabbi Expresses Joy Over Her Return to Telugu Cinema in G2 Alongside Adivi Sesh

Vinay Kumar Sirigineedi's Goodachari 2, which stars Adivi Sesh and Emraan Hashmi in the principal roles, has welcomed a new cast member. The sequel to the 2018 film Goodachari will showcase Wamiqa Gabbi in the role of the female lead. Adivi Sesh unveiled this announcement through a newly released poster that highlights both actors.

Sesh made the announcement while suggesting that Wamiqa portrays a spy character similar to his in the film. He shared on X (formerly Twitter), “My partner in c̶r̶i̶m̶e̶ adventure. Welcome to the mission, #WamiqaGabbi. It will be incredible to collaborate with you in Europe! THUNDER GLIMPSE is set to launch this month. #G2 #Goodachari2.”

Wamiqa also shared the news on her Instagram, stating, “SPY. ACTION. ADVENTURE. With #G2. I am thrilled to announce my next project. Collaborating with my amazing co-actor @adivisesh is going to be fantastic. Additionally, I look forward to meeting #Emraan sir on set!” She has recently completed a filming schedule in Europe alongside Sesh.

Eager to make her return to Telugu cinema after a decade, she expressed in a press conference, “I am truly thrilled to be involved in the remarkable journey of G2. The first instalment established an impressive standard, and entering this realm is both exhilarating and demanding. Collaborating with such a gifted cast and crew motivates me to transcend limits and infuse new vitality into my character. For those unfamiliar, Wamiqa's last appearance in Telugu cinema was in the 2015 film Bhale Manchi Roju.
