In the teaser drop, Gandhi urges Patel, in a desperate attempt to prevent separation, to assign Muhammad Ali Jinnah the leadership seat. While sharing the teaser, creator Nikkhil Advani quoted an excerpt from the book Freedom at Midnight and stated, "Gandhi could not budge Nehru and Patel. There was a limit to the price they were prepared to pay to keep India united, and handing over power to their foe, Jinnah, transgressed it. They did not share Gandhi’s conviction that partition would inevitably lead to terrible violence.”
