Filmmaker Nikkhil Advani is ready to bring a never-told-before story of India's independence to life with this web series, Freedom at Midnight. The makers have been releasing character looks as well as motion posters for the OTT show for a while now. It will soon stream on SonyLIV as well as on OTTplay Premium. While the release date is not set yet, the streaming platform has dropped an intriguing motion poster for Freedom at Midnight on YouTube.

Nikkhil Advani's Freedom at Midnight intends to narrate an electrifying story of India's independence. It is touted as a tale that has never been told before. SonyLIV dropped this web show's motion poster on YouTube. This clip highlights the ensemble star cast and their characters from Freedom at Midnight.
For the uninitiated, Advani's series features a long list of actors who will portray the characters of some important historical personalities. Scam 1992 fame Chirag Vohra will be seen as Mahatma Gandhi in the series, while Sidhant Gupta plays Jawaharlal Nehru.
On the other hand, Ira Dubey has come on board to play the character of Fatima Jinnah, while Aif Zakaria will portray the character of Muhammad Ali Jinnah. As for Rajendra Chawla, he will be seen as Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in the SonyLIV show.
Did you know Freedom at Midnight was filmed at Umaid Bhawan Palace?
In May this year, Nikkhil revealed that his web show Freedom at Midnight was shot at Jodhpur's Umaid Bhawan Palace for three days. He expressed gratitude to Maharaja Gajsingh Ji II of Marwar-Jodhpur for granting permission to shoot there.
"Grateful beyond words for the incredible opportunity to shoot at the breathtaking umaidbhawanpalace for three magical days, bringing ‘Freedom at Midnight’ to life. A heartfelt thank you to Maharaja Gajsingh Ji II of Marwar-Jodhpur for opening his doors and allowing us to add splendour to our story within the walls of this majestic palace (sic)," he wrote on social media.
