SonyLIV's recent series titled Freedom At Midnight focuses on Mahatma Gandhi's appeal to Sardar Patel regarding Muhammad Ali Jinnah, focusing on India's 1947 independence and Partition. One day after the release, the makers released a new promo of the series featuring Rajendra Chawla who played the role of Sardar Vallabhai Patel.

On November 16, SonyLIV shared a new promo of Freedom At Midnight on their Instagram account. The clip features Rajendra Chawla as Sardar Vallabhai Patel. In the video, he can be seen taking some important decisions regarding Mahatma Gandhi's appeal focusing on India's 1947 independence and Partition.

The series has been receiving positive reviews from viewers as well as critics. The historical show is inspired by the book Freedom At Midnight, written by Larry Collins and Dominique Lapierre. The series showcases the details of the last year of the British Raj, from 1947 to 1948. From the appointment of Lord Mountbatten of Burma as the last viceroy of British India to the death and funeral of Mahatma Gandhi, the series highlights important periods in India's history.

It also explores the crucial events surrounding India's independence in 1947, including the Partition of India including the religious and socio-political dynamics of the era.

The cast of the series features Sidhant Gupta as Jawaharlal Nehru, Chirag Vohra as Mahatma Gandhi, and Rajendra Chawla as Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
