Five Kiccha Sudeep Cop Classics to View Before Max Debut

Kannada film icon Kiccha Sudeep returns to the role of a police officer in his latest project, Max, a character he has portrayed with considerable success in the past. Directed by newcomer Vijay Kartikeyaa, the narrative unfolds over a single night, from 7 PM to 7 AM, featuring Sudeep as the fiery cop Arjun Mahakshay, affectionately known as Max. As he prepares to resume his duties following a suspension, his police station comes under siege, compelling him to employ every strategy at his disposal to protect his jurisdiction.

Max is scheduled for theatrical release on December 25. In the meantime, here is a glimpse of several other films featuring Kiccha Sudeep in law enforcement roles.

Tirupathi

The 2006 film directed by Shivamani marked Sudeep's inaugural role as a police officer. He portrayed the lead character, ACP Thirupathi, who is assigned the responsibility of investigating the murder of district commissioner Margaret (Sudharani). This commissioner had caused some controversy by halting an unlawful construction project.

Hubballi

Sudeep portrayed a police officer in the 2006 film Hubballi, directed by Om Prakash Rao. This action-thriller featured Sudeep alongside Rakshita, with the actor taking on the role of ACP Ajay Kumar Sarnayak, a principled officer determined to seek vengeance for his sister's murder and a brutal assault on his own life.

Veera Madakari

The reimagining of the successful Telugu film Vikramarkadu was helmed by Sudeep, who portrayed dual roles as both a con artist and a principled police officer. He starred alongside Ragini Dwivedi in a narrative where the conman is compelled to assume the identity of the cop.

Kempe Gowda

Sudeep helmed the remake of the acclaimed Tamil film Singam and portrayed the lead character, Inspector Kempe Gowda, a highly regarded police officer. His character is reassigned to Bengaluru due to the influence of a gangster named Arumugham (P Ravi Shankar).

Vikrant Rona

Sudeep's first partnership with Anup Bhandari, the creator of Rangitaranga, resulted in a film situated within the same universe. In this project, he portrayed a police officer who arrives in Kamarottu in search of explanations regarding the enigmatic vanishing of young children in the village.
