A source has verified to Hindustan Times that filming for Hera Pheri 3 has commenced. "Indeed, it's true. The initial scene was filmed today featuring Akshay, Suniel, and Paresh, who will be reprising their beloved characters," the insider revealed.

Priyadarshan has confirmed his return to direct Hera Pheri 3. This film is already one of the most anticipated Bollywood releases of 2025. Priyadarshan will reunite with the original cast, with Akshay portraying Raju, Paresh Rawal as Baburao Ganpatrao Apte, and Suniel Shetty in the role of Shyam.

Following his announcement to direct Hera Pheri 3, Priyadarshan discussed the challenges associated with creating the third installment of the franchise. Hera Pheri was originally released in 2000, while Phir Hera Pheri was out in 2006. We would not get Hera Pheri 3 after almost two decades.
