Plot overview

Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba is the thrilling continuation of the epic tale of passion, betrayal, and criminality. The thrilling adventure of Rani and Rishu, two tragic lovers whose paths cross inexorably, will sweep viewers along on August 9.

Kanika Dhillon wrote and co-produced the film, which stars Taapsee Pannu, Vikrant Massey, Sunny Kaushal, and Jimmy Shergill. It was directed by Jayprad Desai. Produced by Colour Yellow Productions (Aanand L Rai) and T-Series Films (Bhushan Kumar), this sequel follows the fictional Indian pulp writer Dinesh Pandit and promises a flurry of romance, suspense, and surprising turns.

Rani Kashyap and Rishabh Saxena continue their journey from the events of Haseen Dillruba to the exciting metropolis of Agra, where they want to start over. Sunny Kaushal's portrayal of Abhimanyu adds another layer of intrigue to their already tense journey, compounded by the authorities following them and the bloodstains on their road. With Jimmy Shergill and others plotting to ruin their "happily ever after," the lovers face new adversaries.

Synopsis of Haseen Dillruba

Kanika Dhillon wrote the first part of the film, which chronicles the unconventional love journey of two distinct characters, Rani and Rishu, under the direction of Vinil Mathew. The tale revolved around love, lust, and criminality, drawing inspiration from renowned Hindi pulp fiction novels.

In the film, we follow the love tale of Rani, a girl from Delhi, who moves in with Rishu, a boy from a tiny town who falls madly in love with her. She uproots her life in Delhi and follows him to Haridwar. Rani finds herself smitten with her brother-in-law, Neel (Harshvardhan Rane's character), after she makes every effort to win over her spouse and strengthen her marriage. Rani's life undergoes a complete and utter change when her husband finds out about her affair with Neel.
