Anil Kapoor has begun shooting for his upcoming drama film Subedar . The exciting update was shared by the streaming platform Prime Video on Wednesday (October 30). Directed by Suresh Triveni, the movie was announced earlier in March and follows the titular character’s journey against the odds.

Anil Kapoor is headlining Prime Video’s upcoming film titled Subedaar. The 68-year-old actor will be seen in the titular role of Subedaar Arun Singh. Helmed by Tumhari Sulu and Jalsa fame filmmaker Suresh Triveni, the gripping drama film was announced by Prime Video in March along with the poster featuring Anil Kapoor.
Taking to Instagram today, Prime Video dropped another picture of Anil Kapoor in and as Subedaar. It also announced that the actor has started filming. "From the frontlines to the home town - a fauji never backs down! #Subedaar, Now Filming!," the post shared.
Triveni teamed up with Prajwal Chandrashekar to write the film. "The man who once fought for the nation, must now fight enemies within to protect his home and family," read the official synopsis.
Soon the announcement post garnered a great response from fans as they shared their excitement for the film. Actor Anupam Kher also wished Anil Kapoor for his upcoming film. "Congratulations! Go for it my friend," he commented.
