Nearly three decades back, Shah Rukh Khan made his memorable acting debut with the TV show Fauji. Even when cast in a smaller show, SRK hogged the limelight with his role and with it, he eventually made his entry into films. Rest, as we know, is an unforgettable journey to stardom. Now, Gauahar Khan has stepped in for a sequel of the TV show, and the trailer of Fauji 2 is here. While Gauahar plays the lead role, new faces are to be introduced with this show. Gauahar Khan leads a team of cadets

In a modern twist on soldiers, many male soldiers are led by a female soldier. The character is played by Gauahar Khan. However, another side of her - the simple girl (who rides a cycle with sunflowers in the basket) - will also be explored in the show.

The new faces

New faces are introduced to TV through Fauji 2. Aashish Bhardwaj is a basketball player, Utkarsh Kohli is into boxing, Amardeep Phogat is a gym enthusiast, Udit Kapur believes in strength training with ropes, Suvansh Dhar is a soccer player, Rudra Soni is a swimming champion, Priyanshu Rajguru excels in snooker, Ayaan Manchanda is a guitarist, Aman Singh Deep is a chef, Niel Satpuda is a bike racer. They all make it to the military for a mission, and the story of Fauji 2 comprises of how their lives changed since enrolling.

When and where to watch Fauji 2

Fauji 2 will air on TV from November 18. It will be available on DD National from Monday to Thursday at 9 pm. Produced by Sandeep Ssingh along with Vicky Jain, the show will be out in Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Gujarati as well as Punjabi.

A tribute to Shah Rukh Khan

SRK celebrates his 59th birthday today. The superstar has not yet gone public on this day but it is a celebration. More so, Fauji holds a special place for SRK since it is his first and only TV show which brought him closer to his dream of becoming a film star. Today, SRK is a global superstar.

On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan has Sujoy Ghosh's King apart from Tiger vs Pathaan, which is an extension of his character Pathaan from the YRF Spy Universe. The movie will feature SRK in competition with Salman Khan's Tiger from the very universe.
