Farah Khan has had a lengthy career in the Hindi film industry, establishing herself as a renowned choreographer in Bollywood. In addition to her choreography, she has directed four Hindi films, three of which achieved significant popularity with audiences. In a recent interview with Bombay Times, Farah shared insights about her career and recounted a humorous story from the set of the Aamir Khan film Dil Chahta Hai.

In her recent interview, Farah Khan disclosed that she has experienced her fair share of challenging days in the kitchen. This revelation from the filmmaker precedes the launch of her show, Celebrity MasterChef. She recounted a humorous story from the set of Dil Chahta Hai.

During the filming of Dil Chahta Hai in Australia, I was preparing yakhni pulao using small pots on an induction cooker when I received a call from my then-boyfriend. Engrossed in our conversation, I suddenly became aware of fire alarms ringing throughout the building. The remainder of the evening was marked by the disapproving expressions of those around me as the aroma of charred yakhni pulao permeated the air. It was quite a humiliating experience, Farah recounted.

Farah Khan on directing a new film

In the same discussion, Farah inquired about her potential return to directing in the near future. Her most recent directorial project was the film Happy New Year, featuring Shah Rukh Khan. The director explained that following the 2014 release, she decided to take a hiatus as she did not encounter any compelling opportunities.

"So, I got busy doing other things, which included looking after my kids, going on holidays with them, and enjoying life. I want to direct a film again, but it will happen when I have the right script and when it is destined," she shared.

On the work front, Farah has taken up hosting duties for Celebrity MasterChef. The show will be judged by Chef Ranveer Brar and Chef Vikas Khanna. The contestants' lineup includes celebrities like Tejasswi Prakash, Gaurav Khanna, Nikki Tamboli, Dipika Kakar Ibrahim, Usha Nadkarni, Archana Gautam and others.
