Warner Bros Pictures has released a new teaser for F1, their anticipated summer film featuring Brad Pitt in the role of a racing icon. The movie is scheduled for release on June 27, and the teaser debuted on Super Bowl Sunday.

A thrilling ride for the summer

The eagerly awaited film centered on Formula 1 racing showcases Pitt in the role of a retired driver making a comeback to the sport, with Damson Idris portraying his teammate at APXGP, a fictional racing team. The film was filmed during real Grand Prix weekends, capturing the team's competition against the giants of the racing world.

The recently released teaser presents exhilarating action sequences featuring a tattooed Pitt. Vehicles soar across the racetrack, and the atmosphere intensifies as the Hollywood actor assumes control of the car. This teaser primarily aims to establish the film's tone and does not disclose any plot specifics.

The film features performances by Kerry Condon, Tobias Menzies, Kim Bodnia, and Javier Bardem, with direction by Joseph Kosinski. It is produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, Kosinski, renowned Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton, Brad Pitt, Jeremy Kleiner, Dede Gardner, and Chad Oman.

Plans for promotion

It has been previously reported that Brad Pitt is set to embark on a global tour to promote his film titled F1. Bruckheimer remarked, "Brad is deeply committed to this project," further stating, “Although he is not fond of engaging in press activities, I believe we will take him on a world tour where he will be eager to showcase his contributions to both driving and acting in this film.”

When inquired about the film's anticipated premieres prior to its official release, possibly alluding to events like Cannes or other film festivals, Bruckheimer remained somewhat reserved, commenting, "That is still under consideration. I believe we will present it in Monaco to the drivers and the F1 teams, followed by premieres in New York, London, and several other cities."

Apple Original Film has officially announced the film's title, 'F1', along with a poster featuring Pitt in his racing attire. The film is directed by Joseph Kosinski and stars Brad Pitt. A teaser poster has also been unveiled.

"The film will be showcased globally in IMAX theatres, providing audiences with the expansive experience that IMAX offers," the producer stated.

Bruckheimer noted that F1 drivers "are scheduled every five minutes. It is astonishing what their lifestyle entails. The physical demands they face and the extensive training they undergo are often unseen. However, we will certainly depict some of that in the film. I have a passion for creating what I refer to as process movies. I have done this repeatedly, including a television series called CSI, which reveals the realities behind the scenes, and that is precisely what our film accomplishes. It immerses viewers in the world of F1, illustrating its inner workings. Additionally, there are numerous compelling dramatic narratives that I continue to share," Deadline reported.

The film is directed and produced by Kosinski, known for Top Gun: Maverick, alongside Jerry Bruckheimer and Chad Oman from Jerry Bruckheimer Films, as well as Pitt, Dede Gardner, and Jeremy Kleiner from Plan B Entertainment, and Lewis Hamilton under his Dawn Apollo Films label. The production is a collaborative effort with Formula 1 and the F1 community, encompassing all ten F1 teams and their drivers, as well as the FIA.
