Sudip Sharma came up with the idea, and Avinash Arun Dhaware is at the helm for Paatal Lok Season 2, which is set to drop on January 17.

The new season's trailer gives us a thrilling sneak peek into a gripping crime drama that takes lowly inspector Hathi Ram Chaudhary on a wild ride. Set in the vibrant landscape of Nagaland, we see Hathi Ram join forces with his loyal sidekick, Imran Ansari, as they dive deep into the quest for truth, tackling deep-rooted issues and societal wrongs.

Hathi Ram is on the case of a missing migrant worker linked to a perilous drug ring. He has to wade through a web of hidden truths while also confronting his own inner struggles.

Here's the scoop on the cast and crew for Paatal Lok Season 2

The upcoming season is bringing back the original cast: Jaideep Ahlawat as Hathi Ram Chaudhary, Abhishek Banerjee as Vishal, Ishwak Singh as Imran Ansari, Gul Panag as Renu Chaudhary, Neeraj Kabi as Sanjeev Mehra, and Swastika Mukherjee as Dolly Mehra.

Jaideep shared his thoughts on stepping back into Hathi Ram's shoes with The Times of India, saying, “By the end of season 1, Hathiram felt a sense of freedom; he no longer had to prove anything to his wife, son, or coworkers. He’s in a more peaceful place now and has come to terms with everything. Plus, slipping back into Hathiram wasn’t tough at all since it’s a character I really connect with. It felt like returning home after a long time.”

The new season will also introduce fresh faces like Tillotama Shome, Nagesh Kukunoor, and Jahnu Barua. This eight-episode series is created and executive-produced by Sudip Sharma.
