By the time we enter 2025, it will have been exactly three years since the release of Euphoria Season 2, which hit HBO Max on January 9, 2022. Given this, the hunger for Season 3 among fans of the show and Zendaya is immense, and they’re eager for any behind-the-scenes updates. A couple of months ago, it was confirmed that the third season is indeed on track, and the studio is working on the timeline to begin production. It was said to go on floors at the beginning of 2025. However, recent reports that Zendaya has joined Christopher Nolan’s next film left fans in shock, fearing that Euphoria Season 3 is now on the back burner. HBO execs, however, have broken their silence to confirm that this is not the case.

Euphoria Season 3 Not Canceled

In case you’ve missed the news, Zendaya and Anne Hathaway are the latest additions to Christopher Nolan's next film, which stars Matt Damon and Tom Holland in leading roles. Reportedly a vampire drama, the film is set to release on July 17, 2026, meaning it will be shot in 2025. That’s not all for Zendaya, who will also be filming Spider-Man 4 alongside Tom Holland, scheduled for release on July 24, 2026. This means her 2025 is almost fully booked to shoot these two major movies, leading fans to speculate that Euphoria Season 3 has been canceled by HBO.

Now, as reported by The Wrap, Francesca Orsi, EVP of HBO programming and head of HBO drama series, has confirmed that Euphoria Season 3 is still very much on track and is not canceled. The Euphoria main cast, including Zendaya, Jacob Elordi, Sydney Sweeney, Alexa Demie, Maude Apatow, and Hunter Schafer, are all expected to reprise their beloved roles in the third season.

“I am thrilled that we are ready to begin production on Euphoria in January,” said Francesca Orsi, also revealing that the show begins filming in July. “We could not be happier with our creative partnership with Sam and this incredible cast. We look forward to bringing this new season of Euphoria to life for the fans.”
