Episode 4262 Recap: Sodhi's Drunken Antics Leave Popatlal and Bhide in Distress
2 days ago | 5 Views
Sodhi has consumed alcohol despite Roshan's objections, causing concern for both Bhide and Popatlal regarding the state of Sodhi's marriage. Bhide, too, is apprehensive about his own marital situation, feeling unable to manage his friend and neighbor's behavior. In response, Bhide and Popatlal have devised a strategy, yet Sodhi remains uncooperative. Here is a summary of the events that transpired last night on Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah (accessible for streaming on SonyLIV through OTTplay Premium).
Popatlal and Bhide try to decide what to do with Sodhi
Sodhi becomes inebriated at a gathering hosted by a friend, prompting concern from Popatlal and Bhide regarding the potential repercussions. Bhide, filled with anger, informs Popatlal that he too will be required to stay outside his home for three consecutive days, expressing his frustration over Popatlal's persuasion of Madhavi to allow Bhide to attend the event. Meanwhile, Sodhi struggles to maintain his balance due to the effects of alcohol.
Bhide is convinced that Roshan will reprimand them upon witnessing Sodhi's state. Just as Bhide mentions her, Roshan calls. In his drunken state, Sodhi insists on answering the phone, leading to further disarray. Popatlal manages Sodhi while Bhide engages with Roshan. Popatlal persuades Bhide to fabricate a story for Roshan, claiming that Sodhi did not partake in any revelry.
Bhide leaves Roshan worried about Sodhi, gets an hour’s deadline to be back home
Bhide ultimately informs Roshan that Sodhi did indeed attend the party. However, she remains unwilling to forgive him and instructs Bhide to convey to Sodhi that he should not even think about returning home.
Bhide retracts his previous statement and, following Popatlal's advice, opts to maintain the falsehood. He attributes the situation to the music, which Roshan is unable to hear.
Roshan expresses a desire to speak with Sodhi, but Bhide promptly declines. He then tells Roshan that Sodhi has gone out to purchase a birthday cake for Harmeet.
Now, Roshan is upset about the late-night partying. Thus, she sets the deadline of one hour to be back home. Bhide hesitantly agrees.
Sodhi’s drunk antics leave Popatlal and Bhide troubled
As Bhide and Popatlal engage in conversation, Sodhi suddenly vanishes, prompting an immediate search. During the search, Sodhi begins to shout for the police from his jeep. He occupies the driver's seat and is perplexed about the absence of the steering wheel, mistakenly believing it has been stolen, when in reality, it is right beside him.
Sodhi expresses his desire to take Popatlal and Bhide on a long drive. In response, Bhide requests that Sodhi hand the keys to Popatlal. At this moment, Sodhi assures them that he will allow them to enjoy a ride in the jeep. Bhide identifies this as the core issue, as Sodhi stubbornly refuses to relinquish the keys, insisting on driving himself.
Bhide suggests to Popatlal that their only option is to confess to Roshan that Sodhi's friends had forced him to drink excessively. Popatlal reminds Bhide that Roshan had previously sent Sodhi away, making it clear that she would not accept any excuses for his drunkenness. She would not forgive him if that were the case.
Bhide instructs Popatlal to take the jeep and park it outside the society. Their plan is to conceal Sodhi in the garden while Bhide retrieves detoxification medicine from Dr. Hathi to resolve the situation.
After some persuasion, Popatlal manages to obtain the jeep keys from Sodhi, but Sodhi halts the driving process. He then requests Popatlal to 'pass the steering' to him.
When Bhide emphasizes the necessity of detoxification, Sodhi expresses a desire to exit the vehicle while issuing a warning to Bhide.
In a moment of humor, when Bhide asks for Sodhi's hand, Sodhi, imitating Amitabh Bachchan's deep voice, claims that the hand belongs to Roshan. With Bhide finally taking decisive action, Popatlal is able to drive the jeep to the society.
