Nimisha Sajayan established herself as one of the most sought-after artists of the South Indian film industry, with back-to-back notable performances. The talented actress is now set to return to the Tamil film industry after the major success of Jigarthanda DoubleX and Chittha, with the upcoming film Enna Vilai. Interestingly, Nimisha Sajayan is reuniting with Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum writer Sajeev Pazhoor, who is gearing up to make his directorial debut with the project.

Nimisha Sajayan to headline Sajeev Pazhoor’s Enna Vilai

As per the recent updates, Enna Vilai, which marks the directorial debut of acclaimed writer-scenarist Sajeev Pazhoor, is touted to be a pan-Indian film that is simultaneously made in Tamil and Malayalam. As per the reports, the National Award-winning script writer’s debut directorial venture is a family drama, which has the elements of a crime thriller. However, nothing much has been revealed about Nimisha Sajayan’s character in the film, so far.

Along with the Jigarthanda DoubleX actress, Enna Vilai features a massive star cast including Karunas, Nizhalgal Ravi, Praveena, YG Mahendran, Kamalesh, Goli Soda Pandi, Viviana, Chethan Kumar, Kavithalaya Krishnan, TSR Srinivas, Lollu Sabha Swaminathan, Pasupathy Raj, Supergood Subramani, Deepa Shankar, Kottachi, and others in the supporting roles. Enna Vilai is scripted by director Sajeev Pazhoor, himself. The movis bankrolled by Githesh V, under the banner Kalamaya Films. If things go as planned, the family drama-thriller will hit the theatres across the globe by the final quarter of 2024, or the beginning of 2025.

Alby Antony is the director of photography. Sam CS has composed the songs and original score for Enna Vilai. Sreejith Sarang, who is best known for his works in Por Thozhil and Jana Gana Mana, handles the editing. K Shiva Krishna handles the art direction. The first schedule filming of the Nimisha Sajayan starrer was wrapped up at Rameshwaram, Tamil Nadu, recently. The pending portions of the film will be shot at the famous Ramoji Rao Film City in Hyderabad and Chennai Gokulam Studios, by the end of August 2024.
