Emraan Hashmi is prepared to make another selfless sacrifice

In Awarapan, Emraan Hashmi portrays Shivam Pandit, an atheist gangster entangled in a web of love and betrayal. His experiences bring back memories of his past love, Aaliyah, a devout Muslim who found herself in a difficult situation. When faced with the ultimate sacrifice, Aaliyah took the blame for Shivam, leaving him clinging to life. Years later, he finds himself in a similar predicament, confronting death once more. In a heroic act, Shivam sacrifices himself to save two lovers, believing they would have met the same tragic end he did if he hadn’t intervened. In doing so, he not only saves them but also reunites with Aaliyah in the afterlife, despite his long-standing atheism. The sequel, Awarapan 2, hints at a similar fate for his character. "Dying for someone else's life is my destiny," the actor reflects as he awakens again. The big question now is whether Shivam has truly returned to life or if he’s been reborn to face the same fate.
