Emergency: Kangana Ranaut announces trailer release date with intriguing poster

Amid her political campaigns, Kangana Ranaut's upcoming film Emergency's release date was postponed. The film was earlier scheduled to release on June 14. However, the team announced the change of date back then and now the makers have announced a new release date for the film. The film, based on the life of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, will now release in cinemas on September 6, 2024.

When will the Emergency trailer release?

Taking to her social media account, Kangana Ranaut, who will be seen essaying the role of Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, shared an intriguing poster featuring the star-studded cast. She also announced that the trailer of the film will be out on August 14th, 2024.

In the caption, she wrote: "Witness the Darkest Times of Democratic Indian History & the lust For Power that almost burned down the Nation! #KanganaRanaut’s #EmergencyTrailer out on 14th August. The Explosive Saga of The Darkest Chapter of Indian Democracy #Emergency Unfolds In cinemas worldwide on 6th September."

Alongside Kangana, Emergency also features Anupam Kher as Jayaprakash Narayan, Shreyas Talpade in the role of Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Mahima Chaudhry as Pupul Jayakar, Milind Soman as Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw and the late Satish Kaushik as Jagjivan Ram. Directed and written by Ranaut, the film is backed by Zee Studios and Manikarnika Films.

Earlier, while talking about the film, Kangana Ranaut told PTI, "Emergency is my most ambitious project and second directorial post-'Manikarnika', we have the best of Indian and international talent come together for this big budget, grand period drama."

This is the third time the release date of the film has been changed. Earlier, the biographical drama was scheduled to release in November 2023, the film was then re-scheduled to release in June 14. Emergency will now release in cinemas on September 6, 2024.
