Dulquer Salmaan teaming up with RDX director Nahas Hidhayath for his 40th film has thrilled DQ fans, who are looking forward to his grand comeback in Malayalam cinema. The title of the upcoming movie, I'm Game, was announced in March 2025, but there haven't been many updates since then. However, the film's composer, Jakes Bejoy, has promised fans that I'm Game will be an action-packed thriller similar to RDX, providing Dulquer plenty of opportunities to showcase his talent.

Dulquer's I'm Game is similar to an RDX-style movie

Dulquer Salmaan recently revealed the title poster for I'm Game, marking his return to Malayalam cinema after his role in King of Kotha earlier this year. This film is the second project from Nahas Hidhayath, who made his directorial debut with the action film RDX: Robert Dony Xavier, featuring actors like Shane Nigam, Antony Varghese, and Neeraj Madhav.

In a recent chat with The Cue Studio, Jakes Bejoy, the composer for the film, confirmed that I'm Game will be packed with action.

“It’s going to be a high-octane film similar to RDX. There will be plenty of opportunities for Dulquer to showcase his skills as a mass hero,” Jakes shared, noting his previous collaboration on King of Kotha.

For those who might not know, RDX was released in 2023 and gained attention for its thrilling action scenes. The film was a box office hit and featured the popular song 'Neela Nilave.'

Jakes shared some exciting details about I'm Game, mentioning that the film dives into the world of gambling and includes some cricket scenes. He assured us that it promises to be a grand and entertaining experience.

However, he noted that it's up to the director to announce when audiences can catch the film in theaters.

Dulquer Salmaan was recently featured in the Telugu movie Lucky Baskhar, which turned out to be a box office success. Directed by Venky Atluri, the film tells the story of Baskhar, a bank employee who turns to dishonest tactics to earn money after missing out on a promotion.

In contrast, DQ's last Malayalam release, King of Kotha, didn't quite resonate with audiences in 2023. As a result, fans are hopeful that his upcoming project, I’m Game, will help revive his standing in the Malayalam film scene.

He also has several other films in the pipeline, including Kaantha in Tamil, Aakasam Lo Oka Tara in Telugu, and a Malayalam project alongside Soubin Shahir.
