Dulquer Salmaan and Soubin Shahir to revive Othiram Kadakam?
The pan-Indian star confirmed that he is reuniting with Soubin Shahir, the popular actor-filmmaker, for one of his upcoming Malayalam projects. In that case, the project will mark the much-loved duo’s reunion after the major success of the 2017-released film Parava. Dulquer Salmaan played an extended cameo appearance in the film, which featured Shane Nigam in the lead role. If the reports are to be believed, the duo is set to revive their long-delayed project, Othiram Kadakam, soon.
For the uninitiated, Dulquer Salmaan and Soubin Shahir announced their second collaboration, fantasy thriller film Othiram Kadakam, in July 2021. Even though the project was expected to start rolling by the beginning of 2022, the actor-producer later confirmed that the project has been put on hold, as the storyline was quite similar with some of the recent films. But Dulquer Salmaan also confirmed that the project is not shelved, and Soubin Shahir is reworking on its screenplay.
If the recent updates are to be believed, the actor-director duo is planning to officially announce their second collaboration in 2025. As the previous reports suggested, the storyline of Othiram Kadakam reportedly underwent some major changes, and the new version has come out really well. The movie, which is touted to be a fantasy film with the elements of humour and romance, will be bankrolled by Dulquer Salmaan himself, under his home banner Wayfarer Films. More updates on the highly anticipated film are expected to be out very soon.
