Actor Dulquer Salmaan is set to star in a new Tamil movie called Kaantha, as we mentioned before. The first look of the film dropped on social media on Monday, February 3. It's being directed by Selvamani Selvaraj.

Kaantha's first look has just been released!

Kaantha is a new Tamil movie featuring Dulquer Salmaan as the main character. It's written and directed by Selvamani Selvaraj, who previously worked on the docu-series The Hunt for Veerappan. The first look of Kaantha was unveiled on the same day Dulquer celebrated 13 years in the acting scene.

The first look poster is in black and white, showcasing Dulquer in a vintage style. He has a thin moustache typical of that time and is dressed in a sharp suit. Not only is he taking on the lead role, but he’s also producing the film alongside Rana Daggubati, Prashanth Potluri, and Jon Varghese. Kaantha will be available in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Hindi

In addition to Dulquer, Kaantha stars Bhagyashri Borse in her Tamil debut and Samuthirakani in other significant roles. Directed by Selvamani Selvaraj, the film is set in 1950s Madras and explores the intricacies of human relationships amid the significant societal shifts of that era.

Kaantha marks yet another period drama for Dulquer. It’s worth mentioning that his previous films in this genre have been major hits, including titles like Sita Ramam, Mahanati, and Lucky Baskhar.

Where can I stream The Hunt for Veerappan online?

Selvaraj Selvamani recently released a docu-series called The Hunt for Veerappan, which you can check out on Netflix. This crime series is made up of four episodes and focuses on the infamous dacoit and smuggler Veerappan, who was labeled a terrorist. The series is produced by Apoorva Bakshi and Monisha Thyagarajan.
