The Tamil film "Dragon," featuring actor and director Pradeep Ranganathan in the leading role, has achieved remarkable success at the box office, becoming the highest-grossing Tamil film of 2025. The film is now preparing for its release on OTT platforms, with Netflix acquiring the streaming rights following its theatrical run, and a premiere date has been established.

Dragon OTT Release Date: Where and When to Watch Pradeep Ranganathan’s Acclaimed Drama  

It has been previously reported that Netflix has secured the post-theatrical streaming rights for Pradeep Ranganathan’s 2025 Tamil film "Dragon." The streaming service has officially announced that the film will debut on March 21 on its platform. Viewers will be able to watch it in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam, accompanied by English subtitles.

Dragon is both written and directed by Ashwath Marimuthu, who previously made his directorial debut with the romantic comedy Oh My Kadavule. The film follows the story of D Ragavan, who transforms from a diligent student into a rebellious youth upon entering college. Faced with 48 academic arrears and the end of his relationship with his girlfriend, he resorts to illegal methods to secure a lucrative job. However, his college headmaster threatens to reveal his actions unless he resolves his outstanding academic issues.

Dragon becomes highest grossing Tamil film so far in 2025

The film features a talented cast including Kayadu Lohar, Anupama Parameswaran, Myskin, Gautham Menon, VJ Sidhu, Harshath Khan, among others. "Dragon" made an impressive entrance at the box office and quickly established itself as the highest-grossing Tamil film of the year, surpassing Ajith Kumar’s "Vidaamuyarchi." This film, which combines elements of family drama, romance, and a coming-of-age narrative, received positive acclaim for its writing and performances. Produced by AGS Entertainment, the music for "Dragon" is composed by Leon James.
