Cast and plot of Dope Girls
Set against the backdrop of the World War One era in London, the plot revolves around a battle of wills as things take a turn when women rise the ranks using Soho’s expanding illicit underground clubland while the British men return to the streets.
Julianne Nicholson of Mare of Easttown fame headlines the limited series as she plays Kate Galloway, a single mother who establishes a nightclub against social and gender stereotypes. Eilidh Fisher of The Power fame stars as her daughter, Elvie. Eliza Scanlen of Little Women fame features as one of the first wave of female officers, Violet Davies. Umi Myers plays bohemian dancer Billie Cassidy.
The supporting cast also features Geraldine James, Rory Fleck Bryne, Dustin Demri-Burns, Sebastian Croft, Michael Duke, Ian Bonar, Laura Checkley, Will Keen, Harry Cadby, Nabhaan Rizwan, Priya Kansara, Jordan Kouame in pivotal roles.
