Dominic And The Ladies’ Purse, the crime comedy film that features Mammootty in the titular role, was wrapped up recently. The movie marks the Malayalam directorial debut of Gautham Vasudev Menon, the senior filmmaker. The project also marks the second collaboration of the actor-director duo, who has previously shared the screen in Bazooka. As per the reports, the release of Dominic And The Ladies’ Purse has been pushed to 2025, to make way for the Deeno Dennis directorial.

Dominic And The Ladies’ Purse to release in 2025?

If the recent updates are to be believed, Dominic And The Ladies’ Purse, which was initially slated to be released in November 2024, has been postponed. The grapevine suggests that the makers of the film decided to push the release to 2025, as Mammootty and Gautham Vasudev Menon’s other upcoming project Bazooka is set to take the November or December 2024 slot. The Deeno Dennis directorial will mostly hit the theatres by the end of November, or the beginning of December 2024.

Now, the latest updates suggest that Dominic And The Ladies’ Purse might get an early-2025 release. The movie, produced by Mammootty himself under his home banner Mammootty Kampany, is expected to hit the theatres by the end of January or the beginning of February 2025. Even though the release date is yet to be finalised, it is safe to assume that the Gautham Vasudev Menon directorial will hit the screens only after Bazooka wraps up its theatrical run.

Dominic And The Ladies Purse: Here’s what we know

As reported earlier, Mammootty is reportedly playing the titular character Dominic, a lazy yet skilled private detective in Dominic And The Ladies’ Purse. According to the grapevine, the Gautham Vasudev Menon directorial reportedly revolves around an investigation, which has a mysterious ladies’ purse as its prime evidence. Along with Mammootty, the movie features Gokul Suresh, Lenaa, Viji Venkatesh, and others essay the supporting roles in the film.

Darbuka Siva, the popular Tamil musician is making his Malayalam debut with the Gautham Vasudev Menon directorial, by composing it music score. Vishnu R Dev handles the cinematography and Anthony handles the editing, respectively. The much-awaited project is bankrolled by Mammootty’s home banner, Mammootty Kampany.
