We are finally on the day where we witness the sequel to the 2019 hit movie that brought an Oscar to the realm of DC and gave it one of the highest-earning R-Rated films ever. Joker: Folie à Deux, a sequel to the Joaquin Phoenix starrer Joker, lands in India today, October 2, 2024. The buzz around the movie has been intense since its announcement, and ever since it was confirmed that the film would also star Lady Gaga, the fandom was on cloud nine. As the release date approached, speculation about the movie—what it would include and what it wouldn't—became the focus of its promotional campaign. However, one thing that no one surprisingly spoke about this time was whether the film has a post-credit or mid-credit scene. Now that we have seen the film, here we are to help you save those 10 minutes—or more, maybe.

Joker: Folie à Deux Has a Post-Credit Scene?

In the world of superhero films, one thing that matters almost as much as big cameos and great scenes are the sequences placed at the end of the movie as a bonus. Known as mid-credit and post-credit scenes, these sequences, as the names suggest, appear during or after the credits. They have become a phenomenon in superhero culture. Now, as Joker lands on the big screen, there is curiosity as to whether this film will include such scenes. Read on to learn more.

To give you a straight answer: Joker: Folie à Deux has neither a mid-credit scene nor a post-credit one. So, you do not have to wait for one. This also brings to mind the time when Todd Phillips confirmed that there would be no Joker 3, as the story has reached its conclusion, and there is nothing left to tell with this version of the anti-hero.

About Joker: Folie à Deux

Joker: Folie à Deux finds Arthur Fleck institutionalized at Arkham Asylum, awaiting trial for his crimes as Joker. While struggling with his dual identity, Arthur not only stumbles upon true love but also discovers the music that's always been inside him. The film also stars Oscar nominees Brendan Gleeson (The Banshees of Inisherin) and Catherine Keener (Get Out, Capote), alongside Zazie Beetz, who reprises her role from Joker.

As we inch closer to the release of Joker: Folie à Deux, which is October 4, 2024, in the West and October 2, 2024, in India, early box office estimations have rolled in. According to Shawn Robbins from Box Office Theory, the movie is set to make $150 million in the domestic market. These are massive numbers, considering the post-pandemic effect is still evident in ticket sales. It also surpasses the opening of the first Joker film, which had a $96 million domestic opening and eventually grew significantly to enjoy an opening between $120 million.

Joker: Folie à Deux hits theaters in the West on October 4, 2024, and in India on October 2, 2024. Stay tuned to OTTplay for more information on this and everything else from the world of streaming and films.
