Kathha Pictures and Kriti Sanon's Blue Butterfly Films are producing an upcoming drama-thriller, directed by debutante Shashanka Chaturvedi and written by Kanika Dhillon. Kriti Sanon will be wearing two hats off-screen as an actor and producer in addition to her first-ever double role on film. Shaheer Sheikh, in his debut film role, portrays the innocent Dhruv Sood, entangled in a risky game of one-upmanship with a love interest who is attempting to shield himself from his own problems by pretending to be someone else.

Earlier in an interview with Firstpost, Kriti revealed that Do Patti is her most challenging film so far. The actor shared that since they have only received a teaser, it is difficult for her to explain why. On the other hand, she can claim that this film features an original performance from her that has never been in any of her previous films. Not only was it emotionally taxing, but it was also physically and linguistically demanding. It involves a multitude of graphs, emotions, drama, and layers. One of the most difficult characters Kriti has had to work with so far is Do Patti, due to its complex personality.
