Starring Kriti in dual roles, Do Patti also features Kajol in a prominent role as a female cop who investigates a twisted case. Popular TV actor Shaheer Sheikh is making his long-awaited film debut in Bollywood with Do Patti. During the trailer launch event, Kriti and Kanika shared how it was quite difficult to cast for Dhruv Sood's character.
Lauding Shaheer for his acting chops and character energy, Kriti shared, “It was so important to find the correct Dhruv because the character had so many layers. The chemistry has to work in a certain way, so I was glad he did the audition. While I was doing the audition with him, I felt the chemistry, and he was also working the shades of Dhruv that he had. He was pulling it so well.” Writer Kanika chimed in to share that they were also concerned about finding someone who could match Kriti’s height and were glad about Shaheer. For the unversed, Shaheer Sheikh is known for Navya...Naye Dhadkan Naye Sawaal, Mahabharat, Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi, and many others.

Taking to Instagram, Kriti dropped the official trailer of her upcoming thriller that features her in a dual role of twin sisters. "Twists, turns, rivalry, love, hurt and an important subject that the entire team feels strongly for," Kriti wrote in the caption. The film will stream on Netflix on October 25.
