Cinema that pays homage to everything that came before it is always enduring because it creates a cultural moment, regardless of whether the project turns out to be good or bad. When modern filmmakers decide to adapt classic stories told decades ago and give them a contemporary flavor, the idea is indeed risky but much needed. One such show that has managed to find an audience in the last year is Django, a story of a complex man that has resonated with a wide fanbase. However, if you aren't aware, it is actually an adaptation of a 1966 Spaghetti Western film of the same name, and it walks on a path that is highly revered. The show is now all set to be released in India, and below is everything you should know about it.

Matthias Schoenaerts on Django
Talking to Radio Times about doing the show, Matthias Schoenaerts, who plays the lead, said, “They wanted to take this iconic genre but bring it to the here and now and infuse it with fresh angles. We're not going to reinvent anything—reinvention is too big of a word, I think. But you can just infuse it with actual themes and things that are very much on the forefront now."
