Recently, he chatted with OTTplay before the launch of his Amazon Prime Video film Agni, directed by Rahul Dholakia. When we asked him about Mirzapur: The Film, he mentioned he couldn’t share too much but assured us it has a fantastic script tailored for the audience.

During our exclusive chat, we pressed Divyenndu for more details about Mirzapur: The Film and its place in the timeline. He humorously replied, “The creators would probably kill me if I spill the beans.” Sayami Kher chimed in, “Then there wouldn’t be a Divyenndu left!”

Divyenndu shared, “All I can say is that everyone’s buzzing about Mirzapur: The Film being in the works. From what I’ve heard, it’s going to be super entertaining (Bohot zyada mazedaar). I can’t spill any more details, but I can assure you we’re aiming to create the most entertaining film possible, just what the audience and fans are looking for. Some projects are made with the fans in mind, and Mirzapur: The Film is definitely one of those. We want to give people what they want.” Pratik Gandhi chimed in, “So, for this question, Munna Bhaiya hasn’t made any quick decisions yet; he’ll think it over and get back to you.”

Amazon MGM Studios and Excel Entertainment are taking the beloved Mirzapur universe to new heights with an exciting announcement: a theatrical movie inspired by the hit crime thriller series, following the success of Mirzapur Season 3. Fans can look forward to seeing their favorite characters on the big screen, promising an epic cinematic experience.

The film, set to hit theaters in 2026, is created by Puneet Krishna and directed by Gurmmeet Singh. It will feature iconic characters like Kaleen Bhaiya (Pankaj Tripathi), Guddu Pandit (Ali Fazal), and Munna Tripathi (Divyenndu), along with Abhishek Banerjee reprising his role as the Compounder, among others.
