What is Disclaimer about?
The book, as well as the series, follows Catherine Ravenscroft (Blanchett, an acclaimed journalist whose claim to fame is revealing the misdeeds and transgressions of others. All is well for her until she receives a novel by an unknown author, in which she is not only the main character, but the narrative threatens to expose her deepest, darkest secrets.
It is then a race against time for Catherine, as she tries to piece together the identity of the novelist, before it is too late and the novel destroys her life and her relationships with husband Robert (Cohen) and son Nicholas (Smit-McPhee).
