Salman Khan has been in the spotlight for various reasons over the past year. While the renowned actor is garnering attention for his forthcoming film Sikandar, he has also been the focus of concern due to several death threats he received throughout the year. In a particularly alarming incident, gunfire was directed at his residence in Bandra during the early hours of the morning last year. This unsettling event coincided with the filming of his eagerly awaited movie Sikandar. Nevertheless, in spite of the persistent threats, Salman Khan remained resolute, continuing to work on the film—though with increased security measures in place. Recently, director A.R. Murugadoss has shared insights into the difficult conditions surrounding the production and the influence of these threats on the filming environment.

A.R. Murugadoss Recalls Shooting With Salman Khan Amid Death Threats

A.R. Murugadoss is returning to Hindi cinema after more than ten years, collaborating with none other than Salman Khan. In a conversation about his experience with the renowned actor, the director reminisced about a period when Salman was under constant threat. He noted that their filming schedules were greatly impacted, as security measures consumed a considerable amount of their time. Consequently, this resulted in longer working hours, frequently extending into the late night and early morning.

Murugadoss remarked, "Salman sir is truly unique. The scale of Sikandar was enormous; we frequently had scenes featuring between 10,000 and 20,000 individuals on set. Managing such vast crowds necessitated stringent security measures and meticulous coordination. Our schedule was already quite demanding, and the ongoing threats made it even more challenging."

He continued, "Following the incident, security protocols were further enhanced. The verification process for all additional artists on set would take 2 to 3 hours each day. This thorough checking consumed a significant portion of our time, often leading to delays. We would begin shooting later than planned and often finish in the early morning hours. Our internal clocks were disrupted, but once we adjusted, it became part of our routine. Despite these challenges, the atmosphere on set remained very positive."
