Seeking resolution, they consult a professional who recommends adopting a dog, as it is commonly believed that dog owners experience immense happiness. Concurrently, Sharad Kelkar and his family decide to welcome a dog into their home to address their own challenges. Additionally, Neena Gupta's character also acquires a dog to enhance her life. The trailer emphasizes the positive influence dogs have on our lives, while also hinting at the emotional turmoil that arises if a beloved pet goes missing.

Neena Gupta, portraying Bethany Lawrence in Dil Dosti Aur Dogs, expressed, “Embarking on this role was a profoundly emotional journey for me. Bethany is a woman who has repressed her desires and isolated herself, yet through an unforeseen companion, she discovers that life still holds much promise. It is a beautiful path of rediscovery that resonated with me personally.”

She further remarked on the joy of collaborating with director Viral Shah, praising his clear vision while allowing the cast the creative freedom to fully inhabit their roles. Gupta noted the warmth shared among the cast, creating a familial atmosphere on set. She particularly enjoyed working alongside her remarkable co-stars, each contributing uniquely to the narrative. The actress eagerly anticipates the audience's reaction to this heartwarming tale.

Sharad Kelkar discusses his role in Dil Dosti Aur Dogs. He remarked, “It was a unique experience to share the screen with Kirti, but what resonated with me the most was my connection with my on-screen daughter. This experience prompted me to reflect on my relationship with my real daughter, strengthening our bond. Additionally, working with the dogs on set was a calming experience.”

He continued by highlighting that Viral Shah, a passionate dog lover, ensures that the canine characters receive as much attention as the human cast, which adds to the film's heartwarming nature. "I hope our film evokes laughter, tears, and, most importantly, a deeper appreciation for the love that surrounds us, whether from a person or a pet. With ‘Dil Dosti Aur Dogs’ set to premiere on Jio Hotstar, I am thrilled that such a significant film will reach a broader audience and promote love," he stated.

The film boasts an impressive ensemble cast, including Neena Gupta, Masumeh Makhija, Sharad Kelkar, Kunaal Roy Kapur, Keerti Kelkar, Tinu Anand, Ehan Bhat, and Tridha Chaudhary. It is scheduled for release on Jio Hotstar on February 28.
