According to recent media reports, a tentative release date of May 1 has been proposed for Dhruva Natchathiram. Gautham Vasudev Menon, who recently made his directorial debut in Malayalam with "Dominic and the Ladies’ Purse," has faced a recurring inquiry over the past few years: when will "Dhruva Natchathiram" be released? This Vikram-starring spy action drama has been completed for several years, awaiting its premiere. Recent discussions on social media suggest that "Dhruva Natchathiram" may be released on May 1. However, no official announcements regarding the release date have been made by any parties involved with the film.

In a previous conversation with OTTplay, Gautham mentioned that he has resolved all financial matters and has taken full control of "Dhruva Natchathiram." He stated, “My intention in acting in films was to reinvest in this project to ensure its completion. We have successfully achieved that, and the film has now received its certification.”

The recent success of Madha Gaja Raja, a film that emerged after a 12-year hiatus, has instilled confidence in Gautham regarding the potential reception of Dhruva Natchathiram upon its release. 

Featuring a talented cast that includes Ritu Varma, R Parthiban, Radhika Sarathkumar, Simran, and Vinayakan, Dhruva Natchathiram was originally proposed to Suriya in 2013, who subsequently withdrew from the project. The film was later revived in 2015 with Vikram and remained in production until 2017. However, it has faced ongoing financial difficulties and setbacks due to the COVID-19 pandemic since that time.
