Idly Kadai, the forthcoming Tamil film featuring Dhanush in the lead role, who is also serving as the director, has revealed its release date. The film is slated to premiere in theaters on October 1, as announced by the producers on social media this past Friday. Initially, the film was set to be released on April 10, but the creators decided to delay it due to the simultaneous release of Ajith Kumar’s Good Bad Ugly on that date.

Actor Dhanush, who has been actively directing following the recent releases of Raayan and Nilavuku Enmel Enadi Kobam, is currently engaged in his fourth directorial project. The film, titled Idly Kadai, is anticipated to be a touching Tamil film. Originally scheduled for release on April 10, the premiere has been postponed due to the release of Good Bad Ugly, and Idly Kadai is now slated to debut on October 1.

Idly Kadai features Nithya Menen, marking her second collaboration with Dhanush after Thiruchitrambalam, alongside Arun Vijay, Rajkiran, and others. The storyline of the film has yet to be disclosed. Produced by Dawn Pictures in partnership with Wunderbar Films, Idly Kadai includes music composed by GV Prakash Kumar and is expected to be a family-oriented drama. The film's technical team comprises Kiran Koushik as the cinematographer and Prasanna GK as the editor.

The story centers on Thiru, an unemployed young man who harbors resentment towards his father while living with his grandfather. As he faces challenges in his romantic pursuits, he finds support in his best friend, Shobana.
