Dhanush is currently on a signing spree and has some highly promising projects in his kitty. The National Award-winning actor is now busy promoting his 50th project, Raayan. The movie, directed by Dhanush himself, is touted to be an out-and-out action drama. Meanwhile, the popular actor-filmmaker is already planning his next directorial venture. As per the recent updates, Dhanush has approached his Thiruchitrambalam co-actors Nithya Menen and Prakash Raj, for his next outing as a director.

Prakash Raj confirms reuniting with Dhanush and Nithya Menen

The senior actor, who recently addressed the media at an event, reportedly confirmed that he is soon reuniting with his Thiruchitrambalam co-stars Dhanush and Nithya Menen, for a project. Interestingly, Prakash Raj revealed that the actor-filmmaker has approached both him and Nithya to play the protagonists in his next directorial venture after Raayan. However, the popular actor refrained from revealing more details about the project, which is still in its budding stages.

Prakash Raj’s role in Raayan

However, before the upcoming untitled Dhanush directorial, Prakash Raj teamed up with the actor-filmmaker for the latter’s 50th outing, Raayan. The project, which is written and directed by the leading man himself, reportedly features the Iruvar actor in a grey-shaded role. Even though nothing much has been revealed about Prakash Raj’s role in the film, the Raayan trailer hints that the senior actor’s character in the film is different from his usual villain roles.

Dhanush, Nithya Menen and Prakash Raj in Thiruchitrambalam

The Mithran Jawahar directorial featured Dhanush as the titular character Thiruchitrambalam aka Palam, a middle-class young man searching for true love. Nithya Menen played the role of Shobana, Palam’s best friend who secretly harbours feelings for him. Prakash Raj, on the other hand, appeared as Palam’s father Neelakandan, with whom he shares a strained bond. The trio won the hearts with their performances in the film. Especially, Dhanush and Nithya Menen’s onscreen chemistry was well-received by the audiences. You can stream the blockbuster movie on Sun NXT and OTTplay Premium.
