Devara was one of the most awaited films as Jr NTR teamed up with Koratala Siva after a very long gap. They last collaborated for the film Janatha Garage which was a big hit at the box office. The word is that the amount Netflix paid for the digital rights is the highest ever for an NTR film to date. The makers have earned big bucks with this deal and the news is that Devara will be made available for streaming from November 8, 2024.
Devara is a smash hit at the box office and made just over Rs 600 crore at the box office. Jr NTR's solid performance made sure that the audience loved the film on the big screen. In Telugu states, Devara made record business in no time. Anirush's music score came in for massive appreciation as he elevated the film to another level.
Devara was made on a budget of 300 crores and was released as a Pan-India film. Koratala Siva made Acharya as his last film which ended as a massive flop at the box office. So, he was under massive pressure to deliver with Devara. But he silenced his critics in a big way. The wait is now on for the second part of Devara.
NTR will be seen in the role of a father and son in the sequel which is a period drama. The other post-release rights of the film have also been sold out like hotcakes but for now, the OTT rights of Devara have been bagged by Netflix and Devara will stream from November 8, 2024.
