Deva box office collection on day six: The debut Hindi film Deva, directed by Malayalam filmmaker Rosshan Andrrews and featuring Shahid Kapoor and Pooja Hegde, premiered in theatres on January 31. The film has shown a respectable performance at the box office, having surpassed the ₹25 crore milestone.

The report indicates that Deva has achieved a total collection of ₹ 26.65 crore based on preliminary estimates. Following its opening weekend, the film experienced a significant decrease in collections starting from Monday, and it will be noteworthy to observe its performance in the upcoming days. On the sixth day post-release, Deva generated ₹ 2.35 crore, marking its lowest single-day earnings to date.

On its debut day, the film earned ₹ 5.5 crore net, and it experienced a 16.36 per cent increase in collections on Saturday, accumulating ₹ 6.4 crores. However, on Monday, the film faced a substantial decline, with earnings dropping by 62.07 per cent.

Prior to the film's release, Shahid expressed his emotions on social media, highlighting the effort and commitment he invested in the project.

He took it to Instagram to share a collection of behind-the-scenes images from Deva's production. In his caption, he expressed, "One year filled with blood, sweat, and tears. 2024 is all about DEVA!!! MY HEART, MY SOUL. MY WORK, MY DEDICATION. MY PASSION FOR ACTING. MY LOVE FOR MY AUDIENCE. MY YEARS OF EXPERIENCE, MY INNER CREATIVE CHILD. EVERYTHING IS EMBODIED IN THIS DEVA... 'Until today, he was mine. From tomorrow, he belongs to you.'"

Deva is a remake of Rosshan’s 2013 Malayalam film Mumbai Police, which featured Prithviraj Sukumaran in the leading role. Shahid portrays ACP Dev Ambre, a character who suffers from memory loss while investigating the murder of his best friend. Pooja plays his love interest, a reporter named Diya Sathaye. Pavail Gulati and Kubbra Sait also have significant roles in the film.
